Application Guide

This section will guide you through the application process.

  • Be sure to read through the booklet and enclosed inserts that accompanied your 2008-2009 Housing and Food Service Application and Signature Agreement.

  • Clearly print all requested personal information on the front of the application.

  • Carefully read the Housing and Food Service Contract on the back of the application and sign and date your contract.  A full version of this contract and policies and procedures pertaining to Residence Life is available on this Web site.

The following links will help you navigate our site as you fill out your application:

Meal Plans   Write your desired meal plan in the box provided on your application.  Meal plan descriptions can be found by clicking the "Meal Plan" button after March 1st.  If you receive your application prior to March 1st, leave your meal plan choice blank and return your completed application to the Office of Residence Life.  We will temporarily assign you one of our most popular plans.

Your meal plan selection can be made during SOAR or any time prior to the first week of school. Meal plans for Fall 2005 can be adjusted up until 5pm Friday of the first week of school.

Hall Features   With 1 being most preferable, rank your 4 top hall choices in the boxes on your application.  Refer to Residence Hall Features in your booklet or on our site for a quick comparison.  Hit the back arrow on your browser to return to this page.

You can also go to our Halls & Villages" page to view more information about each of our residence halls.

Honors Floor   For a full description of the Honors Floor Option, click the "Honors Floor" button.  If you have applied for admission into the Honors Program and are awaiting a decision, you may still apply for this special housing.  Placement in Honors housing will be confirmed once your admission status is determined for the Honors Program.

GLLC   For a full description of the Global Living & Learning Community Option, click the "GLLC" button.  Information about this floor and an application is available on this page.

Lifestyle Key   In this section, we ask for information about you... your needs and preferences, likes and dislikes... so that we can match you with a roommate with similar qualities.  Its best to be totally honest with yourself and us, so that we can make a good match!  Click the "Lifestyle Key" button to find definitions for each of the descriptors.

Disabilities   If you have a physical disability or health concern that requires special housing considerations, indicate this on your application and click the "Disabilities" button to obtain a Request for Accommodation in Housing.  Return your completed request with required documentation to the office of Residence Life.

We'll be assigning roommates after SOAR II.  We send out housing assignment letters to all students the third week of July.  In these letters we confirm room placements and provide home contact information for roommates.
