WHEN TO SWITCH ROOMMATES AND HOW

                “I have tried to work this out and it’s just not getting us anywhere”

                “My roommate refuses to change, even after mediation!”

                “My roommate and I have agreed that we cannot live together”

Don’t despair!  Some people just aren’t meant to live together.  It’s not a fault, just a fact!  Remember, this is an experience.  Try to understand why the situation developed and then move on… quite literally.

So how do you move?  Contact your RC or the assistant director of residence life.  They will help you find an empty room in your building or in another hall (where space is available).  They can also provide you with a list of people who are in a similar situation – they need a roommate!
