Office of Residence Life

Mail & Mail Forwarding

Mail

Upon check-in, each student receives a mailbox assignment. Mailboxes are located in residence halls. Mail sent to you should be addressed as follows:

Name
Room number
Hall address
Evansville, Indiana 47714

Do not include “University of Evansville” in the address.

Mail delivery and pickup is made at each hall once each day, Monday through Saturday. Most packages (FedEx, UPS, etc.) are delivered to Mail Services located in the General Services building. You will be notified via e-mail or telephone when a package arrives.

Items sent to residence hall offices that are too big to fit in the mailbox provided will remain in the office until picked up. A slip in your mailbox, or a note on the office dry erase board, will inform you of packages you receive.

Mail Forwarding

Students living in university housing who are leaving for the summer can request that UE forward mail to their summer address.  Login to WebAdvisor at https://webadvisor.evansville.edu and select the "Current Students" link.  From there click on "Address Change Request" under the USER section.  Be sure to include an end date if applicable.

Bulk mail and magazines will not be forwarded. Students must contact organizations that send bulk mail and magazines regarding their summer address. Music will be forwarded with postage due.  If a forwarding address is not provided, all first class mail will be forwarded to the home address on record.

Village residents must change their address through the U.S. Post Office.  The link for the USPS change of address form is:  https://moversguide.usps.com.

Mail forwarding by the University is done as a courtesy. Mail is not forwarded when the University is closed. Students not returning in the fall are strongly encouraged to contact businesses and organizations to change mailing address information. The University is not responsible for fines or penalties related to delayed mail delivery.
