2008-2009 Housing Assignment Process

Residence Hall Lottery Process

The Residence Hall Lottery is the last part of the Housing Assignment Process.

You qualify for the lottery process if you wish to move to another hall, did not reclaim your current room, and did not select another room in your current hall.

Please follow these procedures to take part in the lottery:

 1.  Take some time to visit the residence halls and rooms that appeal to you.  Keep in mind some characteristics of the rooms such as visitation policy, furniture styles, and coed vs. single sex.  Also, decide on a roommate.  Talk honestly with your friends about who will be most compatible as a roommate.

 2.  Have several choices of rooms to ensure that you are prepared if your first plan is not available.  Remember, at this point many of the rooms may have already been reclaimed, so have different options in mind.
